Jacqui James is a contemporary womenswear label centred on the pleasure of dressing beautifully. The brand began in occasionwear and bridal, developing a language shaped by tailoring, strong silhouettes, rich colour and intricate handwork.

Today, that language continues through ready-to-wear and made-to-order pieces designed for the occasions that punctuate a woman’s life — dinners, weddings, celebrations, travel and everything in between.

We are drawn to beautiful materials, saturated colour, tactile surfaces and pieces that have presence without needing to perform. The woman wearing them is much the same.

She simply is.

Our approach

We believe in making clothes with intention. That means developing pieces carefully, producing in considered quantities and using made-to-order or pre-order models where appropriate rather than creating unnecessary stock.

Some pieces return. Others belong to a particular collection or moment. The aim is to create pieces worth getting dressed for.
